When installing a new prop on glow engines, I make sure the prop is horizontal to the ground when the engine hits compression. This way if I should end up Deadstick, the prop will get stopped horizontally and I won't be as likely to break the prop if the plane sets down hard.

Steps to do so:
1. Put the spinner backplate on
2. Put the prop on
3. Turn the engine shaft until it's on/at compression, don't turn past it.
4. Adjust the prop and spinner back plate so the prop is horizontal.
5. Tighten down the prop nut
6. Attach the spinner
